well, it’s not my first post nor is this my first time to join Friendster. i have been visiting my friendster profile once in a while, but never this long. i do not spend time with friendster that i way did before. i only open Friendster just to check messages. once done, i leave immediately.

why is this so? i am addicted to facebook. hehehe… really. yeah i know, it’s a rival network (gma vs abs-cbn ba ni?), but at least i’m still here…hehehe…i got a new background for my friendster profile. i do have plans of revamping my site. it will happen soon.

maybe, i will be posting on this blog more often, but i do not know. let’s just see.

Erec Rex is series of books written by Kaza Kingsley. the first book, Dragon’s Eye, was released last 2006 and I was able to read just this year, last November.

i bought my copy at National Bookstore at the teen’s section (feeling teen man ko beh!).

this story tell a boy who has magical powers and he doesn’t know about. until one day, his mom got missing and he vows to look for her. that’s when the story starts. he was able to enter an entirely new world, Alypium, where all magic happens. he also get to bethany just before entering Alypium. as for her mother, she was held hostage by an evil king. it is only he who can set her mother free. a contest was held during his stay at Alypium. the said contest will determine who will new king. in fact three will be chosen as there are places aside from Alypium. in the span of time, he gets to know friends, learns magic, knows about the mystery, and the truth about his life.

this is a light novel definitely for kids, teen, and those with childish heart. this book has magic, humor, colorful character, and action. a good read, i must say.

my observations on the book:

• erec rex, doesn’t know that he can perform magic [just like harry potter]
• the tournament to determine the new king [harry potter has a triwizard tournament]
• bethany, erec rex’s close friend who happens to have a cat [hermione, you got a twin]

i could point out some other similarities, but i would not. you need to read the book. like i said, it is a good read.

i have just finished reading erec rex. it’s a children/teens’ book. it is a series. the book i have read was actually the first one ~ erec rex: the dragon eye. It’s the first book.

i am planning to write a review on this one, but I’m time contrained right now.

got really nothing noteworthy to talk about. my week was just lame. nothing really exciting happened. no fun stuff. Just a regular week for me.

what about my day? nothing still. just surfing the net and blogging. figuring out how to work aroung this friendster blog. for me (just my opinion), wordpress platform is just ok to manage. but i prefer using blogger platform. it is user friendly. very user friendly. wordpress for me is hard to navigate and friendster is using wordpress platform. same dashboard with wordpress. basta, wordpress is just for simplicity.

anyways, moving forward. i will be going to sss to apply for a salary loan later today. this is my first loan ever and what freaks me right now is that i could not find my pink form. i do not know where i placed that shit (ooopppss! the word).

gosh, i really hope i could find it before i leave. so wish me luck

it’s bee quite a while since posted my first movie review. i wonder when i could make another.

i probably would give you a rundown on the movies that i liked and did not like. this can be new movies or those released ages ago.

• pursuit of happyness - a must see
• freedom writers - another must see
• dark knight - heath, heath, heath, and heath
• fool’s gold - a disappointing movie; a second-rate copy cat of national treasure
• national treasure - (speaking of) i would give a rating of 3.5 out of 5. not bad
• indiana jones: kingdom of crystal skull - 4 out 5 stars; like it!
• iron man - a must see, definitely
• forbidden kingdom - it lived out to my expectations but nonetheless, i would give it a 3.5 out of 5

i just got blank. hahaha… no movies came out of my mind after the last entry. but anyways, there will be a part 2 for this post.
